At Motivated Pooper Scoopers, we aim to make scheduling pet waste removal services as convenient and seamless as possible.

Accepted payment methods for Motivated Pooper Scoopers services include credit cards and Visa Debit. We do not accept cash, cheque or e-transfer payments. A hold will be placed on the provided card 72 hours before the booking start time to ensure there are enough funds to cover the estimated amount of the booking. This includes waiting list bookings. The hold may appear as a charge, but it is only a hold and will not result in an actual charge until after the booking is completed. Once the booking is completed, the hold will convert to a charge, and you may see a second charge if the amount billed is higher than the estimated and held amount.

The frequency of yard scooping depends on factors such as the number of dogs, how often they poop and how you use your yard, to name a few. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide how often you’d like your yard scooped and it varies for different people. We offer various recurring frequencies:

As a general guideline, it is recommended to fully empty, clean, and disinfect your cat’s litter box at least once a month. However, some situations may call for more frequent cleaning, such as when your cat is ill or if you have multiple cats using the same litter box.

You can book Motivated Pooper Scoopers’ cat litter box cleaning and disinfecting services as needed, which are performed on site in their pooper scooper trailer right in front of your home.

For yard access during Motivated Pooper Scoopers services, if your gate is locked, you can install a lock with a code or a key lockbox. Our Professional Pooper Scoopers will use the access information stored securely in our app to enter and exit your yard, ensuring it remains locked when they leave.

For cat litter box scooping services that require entry into your home, you can provide access by installing a key lockbox on your door and sharing the code with us or providing us with the code for your door keypad. Alternatively, you can arrange another way for our Professional Pooper Scoopers to enter your home. Our team will follow your exact instructions for locking up when leaving.

No, at Motivated Pooper Scoopers we do not lock our customers down with long-term contracts, as we believe that if we consistently provide dependable, quality and guarantee-backed pet waste removal services then customers will continue to use us when they need our services.

However, we do have Terms of Service that establish the rules, rights, and responsibilities of both Motivated Pooper Scoopers and our customers. These terms ensure a clear understanding and protect both parties in the relationship when using our services.

The cost for our regular and spring clean pooper scooper services at Motivated Pooper Scoopers depends on several factors including the size of your yard, the amount of pet waste, time since your last scoop, the number of dogs you have and their bathroom habits, to name a few. Since every yard is unique, it’s impossible to provide an exact estimate for a booking in advance.

We start with a base rate* for the service and then charge a per-minute rate for every minute after the first 15 minutes using a GPS timer.

Regular Pooper Scooper Services: $19.99* base rate then after 15 minutes $1 per minute. Add-on yard deodorizing for $9.99 or deodorizing, sanitizing and disinfecting for $39.99.

Spring Clean Pooper Scooper Services: $49.99* base rate then after 15 minutes $2 per minute. Add-on yard deodorizing for $9.99 or deodorizing, sanitizing and disinfecting for $39.99.

For cat litter box exchange, it is a per cat litter box flat rate* and for cat litter box scooping and cleaning, we start with a base rate* then charge per-minute for every minute after the first 15 using a GPS timer. The exact time to do the booking is impossible to estimate as it depends on several factors such as how many litter boxes there are, how many cats use the litter boxes, the type of cat litter used, their bathroom habits, how long since the last scoop or cleaning and whether any of your cats are sick, just to name a few.

Yes, at Motivated Pooper Scoopers, we take the safety and security of our clients seriously. All of our Professional Pooper Scoopers undergo a national CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) criminal background check, which is supplied directly to us by a third party.

To maintain the highest standards, we update these background checks every 6 months. This ensures that our clients can have peace of mind knowing that their property is in the hands of trustworthy and reliable professionals.

Our Professional Pooper Scoopers stand behind their work and guarantee that if you’re ever dissatisfied they’ll happily return and make it right… no hassle… no additional charge!*

When we clock out of your booking, we send an email and text message with a link. As long as you let us know within 24 hours from the time we clock out, by using the link to rate the booking, we will address any concerns or dissatisfaction you may have.

Please note that our guarantee is based on our ability to scoop visible pet waste. Our team goes over the property twice, once back and forth in one direction, and then back and forth in another direction. If pet waste is covered by leaves, other debris, or obscured by tall grass, and we cannot see it, we are not responsible for missed waste.

If we return to address a concern and it is clear that the pet waste in question was deposited after our initial visit, we reserve the right to bill the base rate and fuel surcharge for returning.

Yes, at Motivated Pooper Scoopers, we understand that our customers have varying needs, and we strive to accommodate them with flexible scheduling options.

For most of our services, such as regular pooper scooper services, cat litter box scooping, and cat litter box exchange, you can choose a regular recurring schedule like three times per week, two times per week, or even bi-weekly for some services.

In addition to our recurring schedules, we also offer as-needed bookings for all of our services, except for cat litter box exchange service. As-needed bookings allow you to make a booking when you need it, based on our availability. This flexibility ensures that you receive the services you need, when you need them, without being locked into a rigid schedule.

By offering a variety of scheduling options, we aim to accommodate the diverse needs of our customers and provide them with the best possible experience.

At Motivated Pooper Scoopers, we strive to make the billing process as seamless and convenient as possible. Here’s how it works:

Post-Booking Charge and Receipt: Once the booking is completed, the hold will convert to a charge. If the amount billed is higher than the estimated and held amount, you may see a second charge on your card to cover the difference. After the booking is complete and the billing has been processed, you will automatically receive an email with a receipt for your service. The receipt will break down the total time logged with the GPS timer and other pertinent details.

Accessing Receipts: You can access, download, and print your receipts from your customer dashboard at any time if you need them in the future.

For yard scooping, we only require access to your back gate to enter your yard. If your gate is locked, consider installing a lock with a code or a key lockbox. This allows our Professional Pooper Scooper to gain access and lock up when leaving.

For cat litter box exchange, leave the soiled box with the cover on it outside your house at the designated pickup location, which we record in our app. We will exchange it for a clean, disinfected, and pre-filled cat litter box that is also covered and sealed.

For cat litter box scooping, we need entry into your home, but you don’t need to be there. Provide us with access by installing a key lockbox on your door and giving us the code, sharing your door keypad code, or arranging another way to let us in. Once we know where your litter boxes are located, we’ll complete our job, let ourselves out, and securely lock up following your exact instructions.

We understand that some clients might feel their pets are friendly and pose no risk to our team, but we have to apply this policy consistently to ensure the safety of our team members and prevent potential disruptions in our work. This allows our team to work efficiently, ultimately keeping costs low for our clients.

A dog in the yard can interfere with the work process, for example, by obstructing access to waste, causing the scooper to constantly watch their step, or being overly friendly and seeking attention from the team member. In addition, having pets in the yard during the service can increase the risk of accidents, such as tripping, dog bites, and the possibility of pets escaping while our team enters or exits the yard.

To help you manage your pet’s presence in the yard during our visit, we send an email and text message when we are on our way to your booking, giving you some lead time to secure your pet. Additionally, we send another notification when we arrive on-site and start our GPS timer, indicating that our team will be entering the yard within seconds. Once we complete the booking and clock out, we send a final message to let you know that it is safe for your pet to return to the yard.

By following this procedure, we can ensure the safety and efficiency of our services while providing the best possible experience for you and your pet.

Yes, our Professional Pooper Scoopers receive extensive training through the Motivated Brands Academy, a world-class program designed to ensure all our nano-franchisees possess the expertise required to excel in the field.

The academy covers a diverse array of topics, such as industry-specific best practices, company policies, procedures, and customer service training, to name a few.

Our Motivated Brands Academy is a dynamic and ever-evolving program and we closely monitor field operations across all our divisions, aiming to future-proof our services to prevent unfavorable situations from occurring. Communications with our nano-franchisees, combined with a feedback loop system for customers, allow us to gather valuable insights, refine our policies and implement procedural changes that ultimately enhance our customer experience.

If we can’t access your property in the manner agreed upon, we’ll start a 15-minute timer and attempt to contact you by phone, text, and email. If we still can’t gain access after 15 minutes we’ll abort the booking and charge the full estimated amount. We can return at the next available time, but it will be a separate booking with an additional charge.

If we gain access after contacting you we’ll endeavor to complete the booking, billing you from the original arrival time plus any base rate, if applicable, and the fuel surcharge.

If we have to leave for another booking before completion, we can’t guarantee the areas we couldn’t reach but will guarantee the areas we worked on before our time ran out.

Dependability is a brand value that we take seriously but, from time to time, adverse weather conditions will cause us to reschedule or cancel a booking in order to prioritize the safety of our Professional Pooper Scoopers.

In extreme weather like heavy snow, torrential rain, thunders storms, extremely high winds, extreme cold or extreme heat we may need to reschedule or cancel a booking.

We’ll always endevour to reschedule over cancel, however, rescheduling may not always be possible due to scheduling constraints.

Always assume that your booking will be going forward as we’ll always notify you in advance if a booking is effected by weather and we will not bill for services that we do not perform. If it is a full cancellation the hold on your provided payment card will be released and if it is reschedule then the hold will stay in place.

For both yard pooper scooper and cat litter box services, we collect the pet waste, place it in garbage bags, and dispose of it in your exterior trash receptacle. In some municipalities that do not allow pet waste to be disposed of in the regular trash, we will leave the bagged waste in a designated area for you to dispose of according to your local regulations.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate specific time requests for our Motivated Pooper Scooper services. Although you can book a specific day for your service, either as a one-time or recurring booking, the exact time we arrive on that day will vary.

The primary reason for this is the limitations of our booking software, which is currently unable to optimize service routes in real-time. To ensure our providers’ success and allow them to earn a good living wage, we need to schedule bookings close to one another in order to minimize downtime as they work throughout the service area.

While our software currently asks you to choose a time slot, this won’t necessarily be the time we show up. Our arrival time can be anytime during the workday. We are working on updating our software to provide a larger window or an entire day rather than specific slots.

To help you plan for our arrival, we will send you email and text notifications when we are on our way, when we arrive, and when we complete the service.

Motivated Pooper Scoopers offers year-round services for some offerings, such as cat litter box services and for other services such as yard pooper scooper services and deodorizing, sanitizing and disinfecting we pause in some areas for the winter depending on a few factors. 

For yard  pooper scooper services we leave it up to the nano-franchisee to decide if they will continue during the winter and they make that choice based on demand.  If the demand is there during the winter they’ll continue to offer it.  

For yard deodorant, sanitizing and disinfecting it depends on if the area consistently stays above freezing or not. If so we continue to offer the service but if not we pause it for the winter months.
